Kate Evans
Kate Evans is an award winning casting director with over 20 years experience of working alongside the best directors, photographers and brands in the advertising industry. From discovering “real’ people to casting established actors, Kate casts for UK and global commercial and photographic campaigns as well as TV and Film. Her genuine enthusiasm for the job, positive energy and love of a challenge makes her one of the busiest casting directors in London. Kate spent the early part of 2019 riding a horse across the Patagonian Plain in Chile and travelling solo around South America. She returns from this trip of a life time rejuvenated but happy to be back doing the job she loves!

Lou Smernicki
Kate and Lou fact – Lou’s real name is Kate but in a company of 2, both having the same name can be a little confusing so Kate Louise Smernicki became Lou at work…. Lou created K&L Casting with Kate Evans in early 2000. In 2018 she relocated to Scotland where she heads the K&L Edinburgh office, a new venture for the business which will widen the talent pool available to our clients and focus on our growing film and TV work.
Lou is a firm believer that positive intention from the outset sets up any project for success, and imposes no limits on what is possible.

Rowena Pointer
With a background in contemporary dance, Ro joined Kate and Lou Casting in 2017, quickly becoming an integral member of the K&L family. Her positivity and attention to detail are exceptional and her natural creativity means she has fast become a fantastic Casting Director in her own right.
